Questioner: Esther

We can't figure it out: to be able to travel quickly to Thailand (hopefully early February 2022), with a quarantine hotel to do first after arrival, we are completely lost with regard to the question 'which visa do I need to stay in Thailand for 90 days.

The purpose of the trip is to hopefully be able to see a family member in the hospital in his last stage of cancer in time. In order to support the family for a certain period of time, it is desirable to stay there for 90 days. We have everything in order such as insurance, ASQ hotel, etc, but we can no longer see which visa needs to be applied for through the trees. It's not in-laws I'm going to.

Can you advise me which visa I should apply for? After the quarantine period, I will stay in the family's condo and perhaps also take a hotel near the hospital where my relative is.

Would love to hear it.

You can apply for an ordinary tourist visa. Upon entry you will receive 60 days of stay that you can easily extend by 30 days at the immigration office.

If you are 50, you can also opt for the Non-immigrant O visa. Upon arrival you immediately receive 90 days.

Look at the link below

CATEGORY 1 : Tourism and recreation related visit

1. Tourism / Leisure activities for that Tourist visa

4. Longer stay for retired persons (pensioner aged 50 or above) for the Non-immigrant O visa
