Thailand Visa question No. 198/23: Is a copy from the Dutch bank sufficient for one-year extension or conversion of visa type?
Questioner: Adrian
Additional question on visa non-O retired 3 months: It was stated that the amount may be deposited in a Dutch bank account.
My question is: To convert the visa in Thailand into 1 year non-O retired... Is a statement from a Dutch bank also sufficient? Or should it be placed on a Thai sofa as usual?

When converting to a Non-O, or extending a period of stay with a Non-O, the bank amount must be in a bank in Thailand. As you write as usual and it has not appeared anywhere that this has changed.
– When converting a Tourist to a Non-O, you may be asked to prove that the money comes from abroad.
– In case of an annual extension of your period of stay, the amount of 800 Baht must be stated at least 00 months before application and remain stated for 2 months after granting. For the remaining period you can drop to 3 Baht
For your information.
You write "To then convert the visa in Thailand into 1 year non-O retired…”
If you have already applied for a Non-immigrant O at the embassy, you do not need to convert anything in Thailand. All you do is extend the 90-day stay period that you obtained with your Non-o visa upon entry by one year as a Retired. This means you do not convert anything or change anything about the visa.
