In Khon Kaen, construction has begun on a 22,6-kilometre Light Rail Transit Project consisting of 16 stations. The LRT line runs on a north-south axis past Mittrarhap and through the center of Khon Kean city.

The light rail is to connect with the planned Northeast high-speed train to Nong Khai.

Thailandblog reader Paul Schiphol sent in a video animation of the LRT line, which is now under construction.

I'm curious, according to the video there will even be a station near the village where I hope to live at the end of this year.
