'Big bikes are booming in Thailand' it seems that more and more Thai and Farang are discovering motorcycling. The legendary Italian brand Ducati recently opened a showroom on Third Road in Pattaya.

A Ducati is actually the Ferrari of motorcycles. That's what the price is for. The cheapest Ducati costs 399.990 baht and for the most expensive you have to bring 1.698.000 baht.

Ducati motorcycles are mainly known for sporty upright single cylinders and two cylinders in L-shape (L-twins) and the characteristic desmodromic valve control. Ducati is also famous for its old king shaft motorcycles (750s(s) /900ss). Today's Ducatis are mainly recognized by their design and recognizable sound. Since April 2012 Ducati belongs to the German car group VAG.

I also saw a Ducati shop along the highway between Cha'am and Hua hin. Motorcycling is indeed booming in Thailand.
I myself have been driving routes in the north for years.
Especially route 108, say the Mae Hong Son loop, is very popular now.
It is a beautiful route with a bend every 20 meters.
You have to be careful, incidentally, on some parts where it is a bit busier because the Thai sometimes cut a corner and you really don't want that if you are hanging in an unclear corner.
I recently met some English people who organize tours from Chiang Mai, but you can also do it yourself.

In Chiang Mai you can get everything from a fat street bike to off-road bike to road maps and clothing.
The accommodation along the way in places like Mae Hong Son and Mae Sariang is also very affordable and you will be amazed at what nice places there are along the way.

It is highly recommended for those who want to see and do something different in Thailand.

I myself am more of a chopper rider with an easyrider riding style.
Bang if you like the Ducati or Kawa Ninja style of riding in Thailand.
    You will not grow old.
Thailand is still number two in the road accident ranking.
And especially if you want to speed along Thai back roads at high speed, you will certainly meet your end soon.
Riding a motorcycle in Thailand therefore means being 100% on your guard, and what happens behind you is just as important as in front of you.
    So mirror constantly.
I like to do bike riding, my old pickup only comes out the door if it is not possible otherwise.
Weather in Thailand is usually good for a bike ride, and you get the open road feeling.
Remember a motorcyclist is always vulnerable, you only have two wheels.
Just too fast through a bend, where there is often a layer of sand again.
Coming out of a sand car that ran without a tarpaulin , and there you go .

Idk, very nice. Chiang Mai is the mecca for renting. Also did some trips in the north, alone.
From Chiang Mai, the famous journey across Pai, Mae Hong Son, the Hill Tribes, Mae Sariang, Doi Inthanon, Hot, Lampang, San Kamphaeng. Rented from Pop Motorcycle, CBR 250, cool guy.
From Chiang Rai to Fang and Tha Ton, Mae Salong, Mae Sai, Golden Triangle, Chiang Saen, Chiang Khong and down to Chiang Rai back.
Sometimes very lonely. But so beautiful. At Mae Hong Son they still do fire construction, sometimes drove through a lunar landscape.
Always keep in mind: if something happens, you are always the one to blame.

And yes, Ducati is well marketed in Asia.
Even in Phnom Penh I only saw Ducatis.
