Those who have been visiting Thailandblog for years and/or receive our newsletter are used to new articles being posted daily and the newsletter being sent daily. This has been irregular for several months. Maybe you want to know what's going on?

Anyway, nothing exciting. It only has to do with the available time. Filling Thailandblog daily takes a lot of time. In addition to a normal working day, Thailandblog also requires the necessary attention from me. In recent years I have done that with a lot of love and dedication, and I will continue to do so in the coming period. But unfortunately I can no longer promise a daily frequency.

One week it will work and the next week it won't. That depends on simple things, such as available time, sufficient material to place and whether there are other more urgent matters. For example, I have had to put a lot of time into my studies and a subsequent exam in the past period.

So if it works, you will receive Thailandblog 7 days a week. Unfortunately, if I don't have enough time, that will be maybe 6, 5 or maybe 4 times a week.

So you don't have to worry that you will no longer receive newsletters. To find out whether new articles have been published, it is best to check the website. You can on your computer, laptop, iPad or phone, just www.thailandblog.nl type in and you will see all new articles (if there are any).

That's totally understandable, Peter. Although I do check every day (I have “Thailandblog” on my desktop and it's just a mouse click away) I had already gotten used to receiving new messages once every two days and that's no problem at all.

In addition to your work and (temporarily) a study, followed by an exam, you do this "on the side". And that commands respect!
Doesn't the saying apply here too: “The work comes before the girl”?
Without your regular work and therefore with only Thailand blog, you fall back on the food bank and no one can expect that from you.

In addition to reader contributions and questions, Thailandblog also contains many editorial contributions and they do not come about "just like that".

Keep it up I would say!

    Such a professional looking blog

You would think that there would be quite a team behind it, but if I understand correctly, the whole thing is ultimately kept in the air by one person who does it in addition to his normal job. As for the various types of articles aided by the regular input of a few individuals, who contribute their extensive knowledge and experience.

All in all a source from which I have been getting useful and reliable information for years.
Hopefully it will stay that way for a very long time.
    Many thanks and good luck.

And congratulations on passing the exam.

    Dear Peter,

That makes sense, you put so much time into it.

It's a fantastic blog by the way, with very useful contributions from Ronny, Maarten, Rob V, Lung Addie, Erik Kuypers and if I've forgotten anyone, I'm sorry in advance.

    Rudolf

  13. Rudolf says up

    Yes I forgot Lammert, hahaha

Glad to hear that the exam was successfully completed Peter. It takes quite a bit to professionally post the various bits of yourself and the various regular and infrequent or one-off writers all by yourself. Don't get overwrought and know when to rest. An update of the site every day at fixed times is nice where possible, but subordinate to those kinds of things with priority.

I totally agree with the comments. This volunteer work takes a lot of time and sometimes it doesn't work out; very understandable! I do hope you continue because TB, even if it is not ffrequent. In particular, tax information (Lammert) and visa issues (Ronny) and other topics, such as wills/inheritance, are important to many and luckily you don't underestimate that!

I like (almost) every update. Whether that be eight a day or three a week. A little less news every now and then also saves me time 😉
