More than 150.000 comments on Thailandblog!
Today we once again report a nice milestone: Thailandblog passed the limit of 150.000 comments yesterday. There are more than 17.000 postings on Thailandblog. A simple calculation shows that on average there are almost 9 reactions to an article and that is a lot.
It shows that Thailandblog is still the most read and active blog about Thailand after all these years. The statement from a few days ago already generated more than 100 responses.
It is of course nice for the editors and bloggers to know that Thailandblog has so many followers and that the readers are so intensively involved by giving their opinion.
Thanks everyone for that and on to the quarter of a million comments!
Congratulations
Then the founder knows in any case that Thailand blog is very popular.
Yes, I will pass it on to the founder. 😉
Yes, commenting on everything, we are good at that! 🙂
But don't forget the good and valuable advice.
I always find your French very professional, humorous, instructive and very valuable.
And how many comments have not been published
That is not kept, but there are about 10 – 15 per day. So about 10%.
You do not post all negative reactions, this deserves nothing at all 2 X again something posted masr not accepted dead normal reactions.
You your comment is a great example of something we don't post. If you don't understand why not, I would buy reading glasses.
Hahaha… that's a good one… some people just don't get it… I was once told by someone who spelled badly: they should take me as I am… That you actually want to say something with your opinion and that you should Trying to write legibly is not an option for these people.
It does not mean that that person is a bad person, but rather limited insight.
My comments were also sometimes not posted. Sometimes rightly, but also sometimes wrongly in my opinion. But that's just how it is.
Winners are those who fail ten times and win the eleventh time. Losers are the ones who give up at the tenth time!
Congratulations to the editors of Thailand Blog.

Every day I look forward to receiving the newsletter.
The information is so diverse, there is always something I find interesting.
all praise and respect for the people who spend their time on Thailandblog. Congratulations.
This result does not deserve a flower, but a huge bunch of flowers!
In addition, if one takes into account the fact that 99% of the topics are purely Thailand-bound and that the competent moderators ensure that no strays are made from the topic, a Magnum bubble can be used.
Others can only see this with sorrow.
Sincere congratulations and a bright future.
Heartily.
Dear Khan Peter,
Thank you for this wonderful work.
I hope Thailandblog will pass 500.000 comments within a few years.
Chander
The amount of response certainly has to do with the topic and there are quite a few things here that evoke the emotion and the variety of topics also plays a role, so it's not that surprising in that respect. I always have to pay close attention to what I write, otherwise it won't be posted. Well, that's not the end of the world, because my opinion is just an opinion, but sometimes a pity. It is actually attractive for the discussion to stimulate others, so as far as I'm concerned, the assessment committee can interpret things more broadly.
I'm just glad that the discussions are being limited. Otherwise it often becomes a good game of one Ego against the other. The actual subject then has nothing to do with it.
If I am well informed, moderation has been relaxed some time ago, in the sense that a reaction to a reaction is no longer more or less by definition dismissed as 'chatting'.
The fact that you should nevertheless pay attention to what you write seems to me to be a healthy incentive.
I can agree with this, but it's not clear to me what you should pay attention to.
In response, I mean that some can provide harsh criticism and if an equally hard, valid answer is given, it will not be posted.
Which raises the question in my mind are some writers protected?
I agree with you. For example, where it becomes hurtful or offensive, a clear boundary must be drawn. It is certainly important to think about what you write. Everyone has their own right, but it should be and remain possible to express an opinion that may not be shared by a fixed group of petitioners. Playing on the man or woman is an example that is not acceptable. There is also no point and it is counterproductive if the discussions start to repeat themselves, because that is of no benefit to anyone.
Other than that, I am happy with this blog. I do endorse the multitude of information that is shared and the quality. So keep it up and on to the 200.000 comments.
I believe that if people do not swear, insult or belittle everything should just be published
This is precisely what I am trying to denounce.
Kind comments, I think if you disagree, post a disparaging comment to think you're right when you're not.
I am also satisfied with the blog and there is certainly nothing wrong with helping someone who wants information as best as possible, that is the first reason why I read it and also to get an idea
Me too, but I'm happy that the moderator/owner ultimately decides what gets on his blog
you can also try it
I really enjoy reading about what's going on in Thailand, especially since my son lives there. So keep on posting the news/recipes/tips. Happy holidays, and a good and healthy 2018, even though the calendar is different there..... greetings, Beika
Many thanks to all the people who take care of this blog on a daily basis. Glad it's been so successful. Every day I read the e-mail and click on some topics. There are many topics that are not only interesting for the Dutch and Flemish people living in Thailand, but also for those who have settled elsewhere in Asia (like me).
Not understanding something has nothing to do with reading glasses. As you so often say yourself "staying on topic" or something of that nature.
Fairly low response from @Peter. ( see above ).
Best wishes and an even better 2018!
I don't understand this response to my post. I thank you and add that Dutch and Flemish people who live elsewhere in Asia also benefit greatly from this blog. What does this have to do with “not understanding”, with “my reading glasses” and “@ Peter (see above)”?
It would be wonderful and respectful if fellow administrators, modeators and employees of other Dutch-speaking Thailand-related forums also place a small token of appreciation.
Or is this just a dream on my part?
150 000 is actually just an intermediate score 😉
On to a multiple of this in the following years.
Congratulations.
I enjoy this forum daily, thanks
