Double Dutch in Pattaya

Peter has been running his guesthouse and restaurant 'Double Dutch' in Soi Welcome, a side street of Jomtien Beach Road, for 7,5 years.

The name means something like foul play, but that should be taken ironically: it's a simple, honest thing. What you see is what you get and that also applies to the menu: a large number of Dutch and Thai dishes, sympathetically priced and each with a photo. Couldn't be clearer. The menu is written entirely in Dutch, so misunderstandings about what you order are excluded. The staff are very helpful and as soon as you ring the table bell someone will be with you.

Dishes

The dishes are also served quickly and are very popular with the members of the dining club. The spare ribs, the meatball sandwich and the pork satay are particularly praised. The portions are generously sized and the only complaint is that the fries could have been a bit crispier and less mealy. The desserts (with ice cream) and the coffee also taste great, so basically everything is fine. Only the pancake could have been a bit flatter than the giant poffer that was now served under my ice cream with whipped cream.

All in all, we are very satisfied with the quality of the whole, which we rate with a more than satisfactory (7+). The average price for Dutch dishes is about 250 baht and for Thai about 150 baht, so very reasonable and of a normal level. Peter is always present, keeps an eye on everything and is approachable for everything. A good option for a tasty and nutritious meal.

Yes, it is delicious food at the Doublel Dutch. Can't say otherwise. Even at Christmas he had made delicious menus. We look forward to seeing you again in December. And on New Year's Eve he had been baking oliebollen, ohhh they were also delicious. Yes, highly recommended if you are in Thailand.

Nice piece but otherwise little or no information on their site, which is a pity, but extensive information in English about golf packages, even if you type Dutch.

Indeed a price list and especially a map showing where they are would be appropriate

Well, I've been coming to Peter for a number of years. He also has nice spacious rooms and the price is good. Since I own a house in Thailand, I only come to visit. Then Peter and I have a chat while enjoying a drink. So not only can you eat there, which I also love about it. Keep it up Peter........

You can eat and drink here, I've been there for several years but slept in a nearby hotel around the corner Grand Jomtien Pallace. peter is a butcher by profession, so he really knows what a piece of meat is. Many Dutch people also come to his shop for a nice chat, it is also nice to enjoy a drink in this street until late in the evening…

Peter and his Thai family do everything they can to make their guests feel comfortable.
I myself once went there with Fred and Joop after reading his website.
This was several years ago but has had a sequel almost every year.
This time with Raymond, a real pepper steak connoisseur, and Peter has the best
according to Raymond, agree with him.
All the food is delicious, the rooms are spacious and great, the price is great.
It is always cozy downstairs, the food is delicious, the atmosphere of the street is pleasant.
Peter arranges a scooter for you, a taxi to the airport, Peter arranges it.
Definitely go back again , That's for sure .

I have consumed something in the past but was not enthusiastic.
Unsociable appearance and hardly any guests.
    A hard old cheese sandwich!!
The bun was indeed old and the cheese was sweating.
Often sit across the street at the swede to have breakfast cozy and edible.
    Success in the future
    Gr Rob

I've been coming here since day one. Tasty fresh rolls are baked on the spot, which I think is unique in Jomtien/Pattaya.Super steak; yes, you can tell that Peter is a butcher.I am very satisfied with the soups, tasty old-fashioned and well filled. I can't think of anything that is disappointing and Peter is always helpful and knows a lot about the ins and outs of Pattaya/Jomtien. His staff (family) are sweethearts and very professional. The rooms are fine and cheap and the location is Jomtien beach road in soy(street) Welcome Beach hotel, well before soy 12, the second place immediately on the left in the street from the beach. You can also play darts and snooker. Just do it! Geert.
