The water taxi, Chao Phraya Express, is a fun and inexpensive way to explore Bangkok. The Express Boat (orange flag) is also the fastest way to China Town (N 5), Wat Arun (N 8), Wat Pho + Grand Palace (N 9) and Khao San Road (N 13).

You pay a few Baht for a trip (as far as you want to go). You can pay for the ticket in cash on board (please keep it with you until you leave the boat).

You can easily walk from the Saphan Taksin Skytrain station to the pier where the water taxis dock. You can then opt for a tourist tour, but also for a water taxi that sails a fixed route.

This video gives you a nice impression of the water taxi in Bangkok:

Is not a water taxi, but a water BUS. These boats sail a specific route with several stops. The water taxis are longtail boats that can be rented from specific places for the specified destination of the customer. Each boarding point has its own working area
