New images on banknotes

Since Maha Vajiralongkorn became the new king after the death of his father King Bhumibol, things have had to be adjusted in the kingdom of Thailand.

Portraits of the new king are hung in government buildings, stamps get a different print and money also undergoes the necessary changes, not in value but in print.

The most striking thing about the new banknote is the position of the number. We used to have this at the top right, now this has changed to the bottom right. The value is shown in letters at the bottom left. Personally, I don't think this is progress, because the value of the note can no longer be read directly when opening the wallet. If the banknote is turned upside down, it is stated upside down at the top left. Maybe I'm the only one who feels this way.

With the 100-baht notes, the king always looked at you. On the new note this has changed, perhaps symbolically?

What more changes can be expected, the future will tell.
