In the series 'On a journey with grandma Jetty' comedian and theater maker Jetty Mathurin takes two of her grandchildren on a journey through beautiful Thailand.

In this episode, the Mathurins arrive by night train in beautiful Chiang Mai. Here they learn to cook Thai food at Siam Rice Thai Cooking School and they also go out for a day with elephants at the Baan Chang Elephant Park.

Jetty Mathurin (Paramaribo, June 30, 1951) is a Dutch comedian, presenter, actress, columnist and speech therapist of Surinamese descent. One of her most famous characters is Taante, a character with whom she has been on stage since 1985.
