Spend the night in an authentic Athithara guesthouse in Ayutthaya

You can of course spend the night in a star hotel with a 13 in a dozen hotel room. It can also be a little more adventurous, for example, in the characteristic and authentic Athithara guesthouse Ayutthaya.

The special thing about this accommodation is that the accommodation and rooms are built and decorated in the classic Thai style. The facilities are therefore limited. For example, you have to share shower and toilet, but you do get a unique experience in return.

Athithara homestay is located right on the Chao Praya River in the old city center and just 700 meters from Chaiwatthanaram Temple and less than three kilometers from Mahathat Temple. There are six guest rooms in the house, all in the authentic Thai style. There is a terrace on the Chao Praya river where you can enjoy the evening. The rooms have free internet, air conditioning, a flat screen TV and a refrigerator.

Ayutthaya has an impressive history and was a prosperous kingdom from the 14th to the 16th century. This city was once the capital of Siam. In 1767 the city was abandoned after destruction by the Burmese. This historic riverside city is home to the spectacular and impressive remains of ancient temples.
