To celebrate the birthday of one of the children, we pay a visit to Mini-Siam at Pattaya. A kind of Madurodam, but Thai.

I was here for the first time more than ten years ago. Then we celebrated Nan's second birthday. Now Nan can't remember this. Nath runs ahead of us and then loudly announces that we should come and see the next project.

The first time I went to different places in response to buildings that I saw here in miniature, to see everything in a big way. I remember when I first encountered the beautiful Khmer temple in PiMai here. Now I can bring most of it home.

Nice is that there is a second section here, which shows the most important buildings around the world. Here I can teach the children something. To my surprise, statues from the Valley of the Kings are immediately housed in Egypt.

In addition, the knowledge is sadly little. They don't know a Statue of Liberty or an Eiffel Tower. Fortunately, the tower of Pisa, because it is depicted on the placemats of the Pizza Hut. To my delight I find a copy of Michelangelo's David. Now I can photograph it again from the side you never see in pictures.

A fun and educational attraction for children or visitors.
