The Royal Thai Embassy in Brussels organizes the festival “Amazing Thai Weekend in Antwerp” in collaboration with the city of Antwerp. It will take place on 5 and 6 May 2012 at the Groenplaats in Antwerp.

Many of you may remember that in April 2008 the last festival was organized in Antwerp to celebrate the 140th anniversary of Thailand – Belgium to celebrate friendship. That event was very successful, more than 70.000 people visited Groenplaats.

This year the festival focuses on a variety of Thai food, arts and crafts, traditional performances. And of course you can orientate yourself to the many fascinating tourist destinations in Thailand.

Dozens of stalls

More than 70 Thai shops and restaurants will be present, collectively showcasing a fine selection of stalls selling Thai products, traditional Thai massage, beautiful traditional dances and the world famous Muay Thai just to name a few.

During the day, visitors will be entertained by Thai artists and artists who will perform their arts on a stage.

Win a ticket

There are plenty of activities for visitors, including the raffle for a Thai Airways Brussels-Bangkok ticket. And a chance to meet Miss Belgium 2012.

This festival is a good opportunity for Thais, Belgians and of course the Dutch to enjoy the Thai atmosphere and the charming Thai smile.

On May 5, the festival will run from 10.00 a.m. to 19.00 p.m. and will resume on May 6 from 10.00 a.m. to 18.00 p.m. Admission is free for visitors.

    hello from belgium.
I myself have a relationship with a Thai and go to many festivals in B and NL.
Almost twice as many Thais live in NL as in B… but the festivals in B attract so many more people AND are conceived on a grander scale. I've been to A'dam, Eindhoven… pffff… not at all comparable to B, which attracts MUCH, much more people. The top festivals in B are Antwerp (May, but not every year), Bredene (August) and Stockel in September. A masse of people and at least 70 to 100 Thai stalls.
    all welcome from NL hey!
    bye 🙂

Guido you must have never been to Loy Krathon, before in 's-Hertogenbosch or last year in Autotron Rosmalen?
Or at Sonkrang at Wat Buddharama in Waalwijk?
Do it anyway, you will be amazed at the number of visitors that appear there.
