I read on Thailand blog and in Bangkok Post that Thailand is experiencing the worst drought in years. Isn't it time to ban water throwing during Songkran? It is of course strange that you are going to waste so much water while the farmers are desperate for water. In just under 3 months it will be that time again. Why are there no questions asked about this in the Thai parliament like we do in the House of Representatives? Does the parliament in Thailand work well?
Songkran? Give my portion to Somchai
It's done, I'd almost say. Only I survived. Songkran in Hua Hin only lasts one evening and the next day. But that's enough to piss me off. What misery, what stupidity and what a waste.
Thai government asks people not to waste water during Songkran
You cannot prohibit people from using water, so the Thai government cannot do more than a call to use water sparingly during Songkran. Prime Minister Prayut is very concerned about the drought that is ravaging large parts of Thailand, says government spokesman Sansern. He hopes that the people will listen to the authorities and do everything possible to prevent the situation from getting worse.
