I am chronically ill and have severe pain in my feet every day. I regularly read the forum and read that when visiting Thai people's homes and/or Buddhist temples, one must walk barefoot. Which is impossible for me in terms of pain.

I went to the hospital with my swollen left foot. The lab results and a photo are attached. The doctor couldn't find anything when I asked if it might be a reaction
on an insect bite I was given a medicine for 5 days. However, this did not help. Sometimes my left foot is painful.

A week ago I slipped during a rain shower and have a severe ankle sprain on my weak foot. Also because I use wafarin I immediately cooled my foot with ice, several times the first 2 days.

Recently I have been suffering from quite swollen feet, through massage, a lot of exercise, walking, cycling, pillow under the foot end, it is gone for 75 – 90% in the morning, but comes back during the day. Am I thinking here of blockage of a blood vessel (s) by a blood clot or valves in the blood vessel that do not function properly?

Who doesn't wear them in Thailand? Slippers, flip flops or flip flaps. Nice and cool and easy, but not really good for your feet and joints. Therefore, do not wear them for more than two hours a day.

My problem is 'fat' feet or should I put it that way, when I go to Thailand I get swollen feet and ankles over the course of a few days. This has now happened to me personally three times in the 18 years I have been visiting Thailand.
