On Phuket, 150 new permits have been applied for to increase the number of Tuk-Tuks. That's strange because there are already far too many. 25 meter taxis should also be added. A committee on Phuket that is responsible for issuing permits will investigate the need for expansion. Extra meter taxis are desirable as an alternative to the expensive Tuk-Tuks.
