Sundays in Isan
It is Sunday at nightfall and De Inquisitor is sitting in the backyard with his entire family. Wonderful temperature, slightly below thirty degrees, a very soft breeze. Crickets, frogs and some birds provide a pleasant background noise. It is just enough light to see a shadow walking, crawling or jumping over a branch in the bush at the back, you have to guess what kind of animal it is.
Living as a single Farang in the jungle: Looking for a good “floor manager, household help”
After a recent question here on the blog about finding a domestic helper, Lung Addie dived into his “archives”. He found an earlier written article on the subject. I have been living in a condo in Pattaya for over 3 years that I now want to rent or sell. I chose a house with a garden. I would have loved to plant a vegetable garden there in my spare time. Birds, chickens, also appeal to me. That was always a big hobby of mine in Flanders
I'm decorating the garden and think I'll reserve a piece for various types of cacti. I think low maintenance.
Who knows where in Thailand I can buy grass weed killer and grass seed, because I can't find it anywhere?
We have a piece of land of 800 m2. The wall is built (except the front). However, it now appears that during the rain the water will push against the back and that the water from the adjacent pineapple field can undercut our wall.
