In search of history in Songkhla and Satun

I wanted to taste some history in Songkhla and Satun and made a three-day trip to these southern Thai provinces. So I took the plane to Hat Yai and then the bus, which delivered me to Songkhla Old Town after a pleasant 40-minute ride. The first thing that struck me there were the many murals by modern painters, depicting everyday life.
The government is committed to spending about 640 billion baht next year on major public transport projects, including new electric rail routes in Bangkok, Phuket, Chiang Mai and Nakhon Ratchasima, the Mass Rapid Transit Authority of Thailand (MRTA) said.
The construction of a tram system in Phuket, budgeted at 34,8 billion baht, will cost 2 billion baht more. That is what the MRTA (operator of the metro in Bangkok) says.
