As of June 23, 2022, EVA Air will change the rules for hold baggage. The airline from Taiwan is switching to a system in which a maximum is set for the number of allowed bags that can be checked in.

With EVA, you are unfortunately only allowed to take a maximum of 20 kg of hold luggage in Economy Class. Now I have heard that you still have some leeway and that when checking in they only start to be difficult if you weigh more than 23 kg and you have to pay for overweight. Is that right?
