In mid-December we plan a tour for the first time through the (mainly) northern part of Thailand for more than three weeks. Our route starts in Ayutthaya and continues via Sukhothai, Mae Sot, Mae Sariang, Mae Hong Son, Pai, Chiang Mai, Phitsanulok, Khorat, Pattaya to end in Bangkok.

As a young guest I had already seen a piece of the world, but parenting has put a pause on long journeys simply because it is less practical to be on the go with young kids. Jutje my daughter turned 8 this year and Neo my son 11… so time to let them explore the wide world and let them taste other cultures.

This summer we are going to Thailand for our second time as a family and my third time. Now we mainly enjoy nature, culture, and special places. Our tickets are booked but now it's time to plan the tour. We definitely want to do Bangkok (not done last time), Pai (definitely have to go back was great), Chang Mai (especially the area, look for the special places) and then we would like to do a few more days at the coast. Not to tan on a beach but to be able to do nature, water, caves, kayaking, etc.
