My husband and I want to make a trip from Bangkok on our own over the Khorat plateau and visit Vientianne and part of Laos. Then travel via Chiang Rai towards Chiang Mai down via Ayutthaya and back to Bangkok.

I notice big price differences in the store for wine and whisky. Price of 5 liters at Macro, Lotus and Big C 965 baht, at Best Pattaya 910 baht and at Thepprasit Road liquor store, 50 meters from Thappraya, 850 baht. So saves a sip on a wine glass. What are your experiences?
