Reader question: Mental health care in Thailand?
I am concerned about a Thai family member who reacts more and more strangely to situations over the years and isolates herself more and more. I think therapeutic care would be in order. It is a delicate issue, I suspect that bringing up the idea of seeing a psychiatrist, psychologist or therapist with the person in question would be like detonating a bomb, it would be felt as a great insult both for the family as well as for the person himself. But still a question about it.
