Thailand question: Taking over parental authority as foster parents of Thai children?
My wife wants to take over parental authority from her brother and sister-in-law of their 2 daughters, aged 10 and 12. They cannot take care of the children (properly) themselves and have agreed. We financially, and the grandparents actually, now take care of the children. We are familiar with the approximately 10 requirements of the IND.
I am working on the MVV for the four-year-old daughter of my Thai partner (who already has a residence permit here). Does this daughter also need permission from the Thai government to come here, if the MVV has been granted?
