I have type 2 diabetes and take Metformin daily for this. I have been given levoflaxacin antibiotics for ocrhitis (inflammation of the testes). However, I read on the leaflet that it can be dangerous with diabetes medication. Does Metformin also belong to the group of medications for which it is not advisable to take Levofloxacin?
Over 2 weeks ago you diagnosed Dupuytren with me. You wrote that Atenolol is not a happy choice here and advised Nebivolol. I think the doctor here barely knew anything about this condition and brushed off my objection to Atenolol. My question to you: Can I switch without objection from Atenolol to Nebivolol and in the same dosage (50 mgr)?
Reader question: How do you take medication that needs to be refrigerated to Thailand?
I had surgery recently. My spleen also died. In itself this is good to live with. I have to take a broxil capsule 2 times a day. Now comes my question: These capsules must be kept refrigerated. I assume this applies to several drugs. Like for insulin.
Question to general practitioner Maarten: How do I get heavy medication for the pain in my back
I have been taking pain medication for the back since I was 25 years old, later for the back and hips. I've been prescribed Durogesic for the last 15 years. Today I take Durogesic 100 every 2 days. My last back surgery Jun 2012, this was not a success. Conclusion: I had to live on with back pain. I have been living in Thailand for 7 years now. My GP prescribes my medication Durogesic 2 twice a year, enough to bridge 100 months. My primary care physician is retiring soon. Other doctors refuse to prescribe / read Durogesic 6 and send it to Thailand. Would be forbidden…? Anyway, I can't find Durogesic 100 in Thailand.
