The lime, also called 'lime', is related to the lemon and the orange. This fruit with green, thin, bumpy skin and light green flesh is round and smaller than a lemon. The lime (Citrus aurantifolia) is a plant of the rue family (Rutaceae), which occurs naturally in Southeast Asia. The fruit is widely used in Thai cuisine.
