Tourist or resident?
I live just outside Krabi in the south of Thailand among the Thai population. Here you can always enjoy the beautiful karst mountains (or is that called something else?), the tranquility and the unrelenting greenery of nature.
Complain, split bill, coal English? Fortunately, the Dutch have to laugh about it themselves. And we don't have it that bad because more than 60% of the Dutch would like to be born as a Dutch again.
The Inquisitor assumes that makers, those responsible, the bloggers, the readers and those who respond - are interested in Thailand. Nobody is going to read a website about Nigeria, or Ecuador, so to speak, if you don't have a connection with it. But he feels that the blog is slipping into a kind of complaining forum about Thailand.
Lamentation
Must always read with a big grin the comments where people on the blog oppose each other. It sometimes seems as if there are two camps. On the one hand those who have settled in Thailand and on the other hand the group that temporarily camps there with a certain regularity.
Consumer Affairs in Thailand
Recently I read in the Algemeen Dagblad the story of someone who successfully protested against an increase of his fine for a traffic violation with 6 Euro being administration costs. You must have a good portion of perseverance and courage to go against this injustice.
whiners
How happy I felt after reading the report published by the Social and Cultural Planning Office: 'Social State of the Netherlands 2011'.
