Do you know what a “posthtel” is? Until recently I certainly didn't know, but I have discovered the word "discovered". If you have never heard of it, let me tell you that a poshtel is a luxury hostel, where the style and comfort of a boutique hotel is combined with the price and atmosphere of a hostel.
Reader Question: Shayne Hostel in Bangkok near Khao San Road?
When looking for affordable hostel (backpackers) addresses, I recently came across the apparently very recently opened Shayne Hostel on the booking.com site. This hostel is located approximately 8 minutes' walk from Khao San Road according to description and offers overnight stays in a dormitory at 350 baht, including a simple breakfast and free WiFi. What struck me when looking at some of the photos was the large number of original paintings in Picasso or Dali-like style.
