Grand Opera Thailand
When you think about the “musical offer” in Thailand, Western classical music does not immediately come to mind. Nevertheless, there are, albeit sparsely, performances of classical music in the form of concerts and recitals. Even more sporadically, opera lovers get their money's worth, they have to wait for the annual international festival of dance and music in the autumn. During that festival there are usually a few operas involved. But there is hope for the opera, because since 2011 there has been an opera company that calls itself Grand Opera Thailand.
