My Thai wife and I had a house built in the Surin province area seven years ago. The plot where we had the house built belonged to my wife. Suppose my wife dies and we have not arranged a lease construction for me? The bottom line is that I will most likely have to move. I have some questions about the situation that has arisen.

Officially in the Netherlands for the last 3 years due to necessary Dutch treatment in the Anthonie van Leeuwenhoek Hospital. Last 3 months back in Thailand when he was out of treatment.

Does anyone know a notary in the Netherlands who is also aware of or has experience with Thai law regarding inheritance?

Is anyone aware of Thai law? A friend died in an accident after 8 days of reregistered Thai marriage (joint). What about the goods and bank, accident insurance and inheritance law? He has 2 sisters who want to claim everything. Yes, of course it's about the money. The sisters and his (good friend) have already emptied the bank account in Germany which I am aware of and have proof. But now they also want the payment from his accident insurance (he was insured with ADAC Germany).

I wonder if there is such a thing as a fund in Thailand, in response to the following. I myself am 67, my Thai girlfriend 56 and she has a son of 21. When he dies he will inherit everything, this is a house (8 years old) and a 6 million baht. However, since he is an easily manipulated "buffalo" (I believe everyone knows what it means), I advised my girlfriend to put all our assets in a fund.

We bought a condo in the name of my husband and I and it will be completed in a few months. I have a question whether it is wise, now that we are both still fit, to also transfer the condo to our son's name upon delivery to prevent problems for our son when we die? Does he automatically become the owner in that case according to Thai law or do we have to arrange more?

I am a Dutch citizen with an annual visa and I live in Thailand. In the Netherlands, according to the law, you cannot disinherit your children, only reduce their legitimate share to half. My question: Can I disinherit my Dutch children with a Thai will?

My question concerns the "rights" of the Thai daughter (my wife) in the event of the death of her Thai parents. As they are poor rice farmers in Surin, their only daughter, my wife, helps with a monthly portion of her salary.

I was married to a Thai man between 2000 and 2014. We got married in the Netherlands and after he returned to Thailand in 2013 (without consultation) I divorced him unilaterally in 2014 under Dutch law. Together we had one son in 2001 who was born and raised in the Netherlands.
