Quite a few Farangs live in Isaan, part of which leads a farmer's life in their own way. Officially they are not allowed to work on the land, but hey, they won't look that closely in the countryside. If those Farangs have had a past as a farmer, they probably never plowed by hand anyway. After all, that's what a tractor is for.
