Pattaya one step closer to 24-hour alcohol sales
In an effort to revive tourism, Thailand is taking a step towards 24-hour alcohol sales in the Pattaya area. While this change currently only affects U-tapao airport, it sets the tone for wider liberalization of alcohol sales rules in the country. The measure fuels hopes that nightlife in tourist hotspots such as Pattaya and Phuket will get a boost.
