For many it is a dream to wake up near the beach and hear the sound of the sea. You can rent a beach hut for little money on a number of islands, but also luxury bungalows. So get out of bed or hammock and walk straight into the sea, it looks like a scene from a movie, but in Thailand it is possible.
Rent a jet ski, dive or snorkel, you name it. You can get a relaxing Thai massage on the beach. A manicure or pedicure is also no problem. Beach vendors come by with ice cream, cold drinks, fresh fruits and fresh fish. Beach life in Thailand is so special and relaxed. Once you've tasted it, you won't want anything else...

The Thai nature is often beautiful. I live close to the Kau Yai park. Wonderful. But the Thai beaches! They don't appeal to me. Powder sand, a powder sand beach walk makes me tired. The beaches are often narrow. There is almost no tide on the gulf side. The tide is also low at the Adaman Sea.
I find the Dutch beaches much more beautiful and interesting. Packed sand on which you can exercise, run, play football, volleyball, even wash. More diverse in terms of fauna. And bigger.
