Cycling in Bangkok, always fun (video)
One of the nicest excursions you can undertake as a tourist is cycling in bangkok. You will get to know a part of Bangkok that you would otherwise not easily discover.
The bicycle tours in Bangkok are safe and suitable for all ages. The Thai guides speak several languages and have years of experience. On a comfortable bike you will experience a unique adventure that you will talk about for a long time.
Cycle along through a maze of alleys, so narrow that even the Tuk Tuk can't get through. You will go to places in Bangkok that few tourists have ever seen. Along the way you will discover the smell of spices, the cultural sites, temples and markets. Then cross the ancient Chao Phraya River by boat to the lush Prapadeang Park, better known as the “lungs of Bangkok”. You end up in a completely different world, all in all a unique experience.
Video: Cycling in Bangkok
Watch the video below about cycling in Bangkok:
It's really great. Covankessel is a Dutch organization but there are more. They told us that at least 80% of the cyclists are Dutch or Belgian. In addition, there are quite a few Germans, French and English. We have already done a tour three times and what strikes us is that all ages cycle along; from children to seniors. It is a leisurely pace and there are frequent stops. So your condition is not important. I can really recommend it to everyone.
Nice to see myself in that video.
Too bad the name of the case is not listed.

I recommend this organization's bike tour: https://www.velothailand.com/
Nice tour through narrow streets and chinatown.

“Co van Kessel” is not a Dutch company and is not led by Dutch people. Co van Kessel has long since passed away.. they only use his name.
Michel Hoes once bought the company from Co van Kessel, now ABC biking. Another good NL company from André Breuer is Bangkokbiking
I cycled a lot in Bangkok. I think the best bike tours are those of Michiel Hoes from Amazing Bangkok Cycling (ABC). They leave very centrally. At the Emporium skytrain station. That's on Sukhumvit, side street 26.
A number of times we have had the most beautiful experiences with the cycling tours of Michiel Hoes of Amazing Bangkok Cycling (ABC).
It is really fantastic at which places you are taken in the capital where you would otherwise never have come, so highly recommended.
The couchsurfing monthly bike ride is also great and cheap

Years ago I made a bicycle trip through Co Kessel through Bangkok. A nice trip, but sometimes our guide was already on the other side of the street. While the group still had to come. Doesn't seem right to me.
I've made a bike ride with the ABC (Amazing Bangkok Cyclist) Co van Kessel about three times.
Definitely recommended if you want to discover a "different" Bangkok for a day than the regular standard places. By bike you get to places that you can never reach by bus.
Cycling with people through their kitchen, living room or whatever craziness. I even ran into a fire brigade tuk-tuk once. Really recommended!
Dear Pascal,
You're making a mistake.
ABC cycling is not from the late Co van Kessel's bicycle company, but Michiel Hoes.
But if you really want to go on a cycling adventure, then you have to be with Etien Daniëls from Clickandtravel in Chiangmai.
They offer a real Thailand tour. Tailor-made even: you indicate how many km per day and he arranges the trip including hotel stays. And the price is very reasonable.
Welcome to Thailand
Dear Pear,
We have done several cycling tours at Etienne Daniels, always satisfied until we heard that the guides were not paid before you started cycling and they put the bicycles in order, but also after cycling (cleaning the bicycles).
Maybe it's different now, but back then it was ready for us. Now we cycle in Bangkok and Chiangmai with Andre Breuer and in Sukhothai with Sukhothai Bicycle tours and they are in one word great, so much knowledge of the country. Perfect couple, I look forward to being able to cycle again in Bangkok, Sukhothai and Chiangmai.

Very nice experience… cycling through Bangkok. Passed many tourist attractions. 10 years ago during the flood in Bkk. Was originally supposed to run the Bkk Marathon in November, but was postponed! Vacation was booked so made the best of it. Emergency rations co-compiled and filled at the Red Cross. Furthermore, he did a lot, including cycling with Co'tje van Kessel. I think departure was from a Hotel opposite ChinaTown. Good guidance with even a Dutch guide at the time with the crew. Finally booked a trip again in February 2012 and ran the delayed Bangkok Marathon and was moved to tears at the finish by the complicated run up to it.....still enjoying the experience.
We cycle every time we are in Thailand at ABC. Amazing Bangkok Cycling and it's really amazing. Michiel Hoes, the owner always has a nice story to tell! They are conveniently located near the Emporium on Sukhumvit. Really recommended!
