Charity bedrace Pattaya on January 27!

Already the 5th international Charity bed race will start on January 27, from the Central Festival on the Pattaya beach road.

A record number of registrations from many countries. This week the counter stood at 61 participants from Thailand, Europe and Australia, but we expect a number of participants from Russia and India. The international media is again present in large numbers, as was the case in the past 2 years.

I am still looking for free beer drinkers who can register with me by email for a beer contest competition of our sponsor Pattaya Beer. But one can also report to me on the international stage on January 27 from 15.30 pm for the Central Festival.

I did not want the responsibility as a co-organizer and presenter for possible fatal consequences, and suggested to do this with non-alcoholic beer. They didn't like this, under the motto; this is like a bra on the washing line, because the best is out.

All major TV channels have reported again, such as Reuters, BBC, CNN, but also various Bangkok and Scandinavian and Russian TV channels, and perhaps also, like last year, SBS from the Netherlands. Saw the broadcast last year on the news in the Netherlands and on BVN. All profits from the sponsors will go to the Father Ray foundation this year, which houses 850 children in various groups. Street children, the blind, the wheelchair disabled, and a baby ward need a lot of money to keep the business running, and this is becoming increasingly difficult given the recession.

Dutch music

Our compatriots who love cozy Dutch music can get their money's worth every Wednesday from 20.00 p.m. at Restaurant TOMAS on the Jomtien Beachroad. Our special occasion DJ Camel AD made it a successful evening as usual last week. Admission is free and all friendly people are welcome to enjoy the Dutch Golden Oldies in Thailand again.

Still hear that some compatriots are homesick for the Netherlands, but I can hardly imagine this with 20 cm of snow and sleeping under an electric blanket. Dream much better with the air conditioning on, and still prefer to lie cozy with 30 degrees on the beach.

  1. l.low size says up

    Dear Colin,
I saw a nice picture of you with Father Fred from the Mercy Center down the hall there.
They can also use good sponsor money. Why 1 institution, which is already well sponsored despite the recession?
We will hope for better weather than last year (thunderstorm and rain) that will improve it
record beer drinking in the 100 meters! (Or was that something else?!)

    Sincerely,

    Lodewijk
