Thailand may host Grand Prix in 2014
Thailand wants to organize a Grand Prix in 2014. Politicians of the Asian country are negotiating this with Bernie Ecclestone, the commercial boss of Formula 1.
“The talks are going very positively. We expect to be able to organize a race from 2014," Kanokphand Chulakasem, Thailand's Sports Affairs Governor, told Phuket News.
Thailand sees the organization of the Race of Champions, at the end of this year in Bangkok, as a dress rehearsal for Formula 1. Drivers from different motorsport classes take part in this event.
The 2012 calendar has eight races on Asian territory, forty percent of the total.

I'm afraid it's going to be speedboat races at that time of year in Bangkok.
It's Grand Prix on the highways here every day!
If it comes to that, I definitely want to go there and will therefore take the dates into account when booking a flight ticket so that the F1 race falls during my stay in Thailand.
