The editors of Thailandblog receive quite a few reader questions about where Dutch people can watch the Netherlands – Argentina match in Bangkok next Wednesday, preferably with other Dutch people.

You could go to The Green Parrot for that. This Grand Cafe is also the meeting place for the evenings of the Dutch Association in Thailand. There are of course Dutch snacks available there, such as bitterballen, frikadellen and Pim's famous Dutch Haring.

The Green Parrot, can be found on Sukhumvit Soi 16 in Bangkok. The nearest BTS station is Asoke. Be on time because full = full.

On the Khao San road, at Khao San center you can also have a good look. Dutch people fed up!

But at that Khao San center they don't have that tasty herring.

Message from the Dutch Embassy on Facebook:

We are almost there .. and it is of course wonderful to be able to watch the Semi-Final together on a big screen in Bangkok.
Organizing such a (big) event on the embassy grounds in the middle of the night would now require too many security measures and that is why we started talking about an alternative.
We found that at Sofitel Sukhumvit (between Nana and Asok BTS or Soi 13-15). You can go there from midnight to 6.30 in the morning for 250 BHT with one drink coupon.
And of course there is always the Green Parrot on Soi 16 where, as usual during the World Cup, the game will be shown.
See you in the early hours of Thursday July 10: ON TO THE FINAL!

From what time is it a bit cozy in the Green Parrot? I'm in a hostel 1,5 km away and I think it would be great fun to see the game with more NL people 🙂
