About four kilometers from Hat Yai, you can visit a special floating market on weekends. In the water you will find boats with some of the finest products the region has to offer. Delicious homemade food, tropical fruits and other snacks, all for incredibly low prices.
You can get yourself and a big boat to sail through the canal for about 20 baht per person. The market is free to enter and you only pay 20 baht for most meals. How about a fresh coconut as a thirst quencher under the cheerfully shining sun.
The sellers on the boats use small baskets of bamboo sticks to serve you the dishes and to receive money from the customers. Nice to see.
There are also stalls selling merchandise such as clothing, bags and crystal. While shopping, you can also enjoy the sunset at the canal at the end of the day ... the view is beautiful! So when you visit Hat Yai be sure to visit the Klonghae Floating Market. Open from Friday to Sunday from 15:00 pm to 21:00 pm.
