Kwan-Riam Floating Market in Bangkok (video)
In this video you can see a fairly new floating market in Bangkok: the Kwan-Riam Floating Market.
The Kwan Riam Floating Market (Thai: ขวัญ เรียม) is located between Soi Saereethai 60 and Soi Ramkhamhaeng 187. The name of the market comes from the characters of a historical Thai romantic story called Plae Kao. Kwan and Riam loved each other dearly, but their love was forbidden by their parents.
The Kwan-Riam floating market came into existence quite recently, in 2012. It is open on Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays from 7.00:21.00 to XNUMX:XNUMX. It is located between two temples, the Wat Bamphen and the Wat Bamphen Tai.
You will find a wide range of traditional Thai dishes, such as the classic Boat noodles, Thai desserts and food from the Isaan. Market women prepared these delicacies in the small boats. The market offers a beautiful view of the SanSaeb channel.
