Not so long ago we posted a video on Thailandblog of a gang of loose Chinese at a buffet in Chiang Mai. Whoever watches this video will think it is the same group, but no, these are Thai.

In a store on Central Ladprao, this group fights tooth and nail to get their hands on a pair of the latest Converse sneakers at half price and see what greed does.

Some blame the department store for the crowd's behavior. They should have led the masses in the right direction.

Watch and be amazed…

Video: Shoes on sale

Well, 50% discount for branded items………

I saw it with my own eyes, but did not realize what was going on, it was not as busy as on the video. There was also pulling and pushing.

Every Thai also wants to have a branded item and then a 50% discount is of course the chance of a lifetime.
You don't see people who can afford it, they have had the "brand items" at home for a long time.

Compared to that, the 3 foolish days in the Bijenkorf and the empty sale in V&D are nothing. Greed only wakes it up in (some) people, resulting in mass hysteria. Worse than a pack of vultures.

You don't only see this in Thailand, it occurs in many countries, including Europe or America.
This is one of many ways in which humanity manifests itself. Is a special way of bargain hunting.
Some will consider themselves lucky as a result. Tastes differ and luckily this behavior does not apply to me yet. Nico is right in stating that 50% is a significant price reduction, and this particular group wants to do its best for that.

This is what every sale of sneakers, from the brand “Convers” looks like, with a discount of 50%. They are shoes with the status of a “fashion statement”. So sneakers with, "over the top prices".

Clearance, bargains, sales, or sale. The name will be hard for the bargain hunter, if enough is discounted.

In America, the day after Thanksgiving is Consumer Day. Because then it's "Black Friday". And then it is not exceptional that people go to blows with each other.

A branch of V&D in Rijswijk had to be closed by the police last month because it was too busy with enthusiastic bargain hunters and there was a fight between customers.

I would also like to mention that in the case of “Chinese people”, miz the child policy plays a major role. The vast majority of this generation apparently grew up without any correction.
