Farang in Thailand: In your swimming trunks to the airport
Today there was a 'hot topic' on social media in Thailand: Two foreigners felt it necessary to travel to Phuket airport wearing small swim trunks, as if they had come straight from the beach.
Sometimes I feel sorry for Thailand. As a popular holiday destination, you attract not only normal tourists, but also people with mental problems. People who think they can make anything because people in Thailand are so friendly.
For example, a Facebook user posted a number of photos of two men who had traveled to Phuket Airport wearing only leopard print swim trunks.
This viral image was widely shared on social media, with most commenting that the couple was ready to fly, if you think Phuket Airport is a beach. Some commented that they looked like they had just come from a party.
After the publication of this post, many Internet users in Thailand started sharing the photos and expressing their opinions. Comments included:
- 'Normally, Thailand is already the drain of the world. Everything that foreigners cannot do in their own country, they do here. Aren't we used to this yet?'

I can't imagine the airline let them on board like that.
If Thailand does not put a stop to this, it will live up to its reputation as a country where norms and values can be violated. Take money, leave morality.
They were definitely already sky high on drugs.
Why do strange guys do this? I think rather because Thailand has the reputation of a “free and exotic country”. A country that is incomprehensible and that everything is possible. But if there's something I don't understand, it's guys like this.
Oh well, you meet some of those crazy, strange people everywhere. It's not polite, but ultimately there are much worse things than someone wanting to board a plane in their swimming trunks.
Hope it's very cold on the plane; so bad that they die from the cold. Probably the only way to unlearn them.
I just assumed that they were in their speedo for the taxi ride, I thought they did something like that and put on more desirable clothing at the cart.
That doesn't change the fact that they were in a holiday frenzy, people with little feeling for the outside world, just to keep things tidy.
There are also laws and regulations in Thailand regarding clothing on public roads.
Bare-chested is reason enough for a ticket, let alone……………
You then wonder why many officials look the other way if they have walked through to the checkpoints.

Oh, it's just as bad as the fellow countrymen who go to their appointment at the embassy in their marcelle and shorts.
These are people who also express a completely wrong opinion in their home country about how friendly and, above all, tolerant the Thai population is.
Often these guys are so stupid that they also see every Thaismile who has to deal with strange shame in this case as encouragement for their absurd behavior.
In fact, they should take strict action here and impose a financial penalty, which they will be able to report on in their home country for a long time.
Only in this way can these types of people be taught in the future that tolerance also has its limits in Thailand, and that a Thai smile is completely misjudged out of shame.
I'm just ashamed when you see farangs walking bare-chested on the street or sitting in a restaurant, let alone these kind of disrespectful and especially stupid people, just put them in the police cell for a few hours, they then miss their flight and it costs Not only do they make a lot of money, but they will never do it again!
Almost as bad: old foreigners in singlets, hairy chests, big bellies, shorts, in a shopping center.

Sad, but that is the disadvantage when you attract a certain type of tourist that you also encounter in Spain and Crete. One combination of alcohol and stupidity leads to these types of idiotic actions.
Pick them up and hold them overnight and then let them go with a hefty fine.
