The editors of Thailandblog regularly receive questions from concerned readers who have applied for a Thailand Pass online via https://tp.consular.go.th/ but have not (yet) received it. We provide a number of options to solve this problem.

First, a brief explanation of the procedure. There are two options for how your Thailand Pass application will be assessed:

  1. Automatically, in that case you will receive the Thailand Pass QR code in your email within 10 seconds.
  2. Manual, in which case it may take up to 7 working days before you receive the Thailand Pass QR-Code in your email.

A condition to automatically receive the Thailand Pass QR code is that you upload the two QR codes of your vaccination certificate. If you do not do this, a manual check will almost certainly follow, which can therefore take up to 7 working days.

There are also a number of other things that you should take into account.

Do not use Hotmail or Outlook email addresses
Unfortunately, it is better not to use Hotmail or Outlook addresses for the application of the Thailand Pass QR code, the risk of problems is then very high. For example, create a Gmail address. See here: https://support.google.com/mail/answer/56256?hl=nl

Check your spam folder
There is a chance that the Thailand Pass QR code ended up in your spam folder. Therefore, always check your spam folder.

Check the status of your Thailand Pass application
After applying for Thailand Pass QR code online, you will receive a unique code. You can use this, together with your passport number and e-mail address, to check the status of your application. You can do that at: https://tp.consular.go.th/

Please contact the Thailand Pass Call Center
If the above tips have failed, call the Thailand Pass Call Center: https://medium.com/thailand-pass/where-do-i-contact-for-thailand-pass-support-1636daadc180

The last option, request the Thailand Pass QR-Code again
If you really can't figure it out and you are still waiting for the Thailand Pass, you can apply for it again. Then make sure you get automatic approval by using the QR code of your vaccination certificate. See here for Dutch: https://coronacheck.nl/nl or see here for Flemings: https://www.vlaanderen.be/covid-certificaat/covid-certificaat-het-vaccinatiecertificaat

With my 1st application it was not possible to scan the QR codes of the vaccinations separately. So the vaccination certificates were entered manually. Still no response after 11 days. The check status was still on 'reviewing'. Emails sent after 9 days and on the 11th day, no response. Tried all 4 call center phone numbers several times, either busy or not picking up.
Made a 13nd request on day 2, now we managed to do the vaccination QR codes automatically.
Notification that the application had been approved the same day was after about 4 hours and not after 10 seconds. On day 15, we received a message that the 1st application had been rejected because there was something wrong with the vaccination data.

Can someone tell me how to upload only the QR codes of the vaccination certificates in the Thailand Pass application? Uploading the vaccination certificates with QR codes is apparently not accepted.

      • Peeyay says up

        Dear,

In case you are Belgian (in possession of the Belgian Covidsafe app):

        > enlarge the QR code of (both) the vaccination(s) on your smartphone (tap on the code) and take a screenshot of it. Crop this screenshot to the size of the QR code and then upload it.
This immediately worked in my case.

I don't know how it works / works with the Dutch app.

        Good luck with your application,

        Dear Harry,

Vaccination certificates with QR code can and must also be uploaded. What matters - for speed - is the QR code separate and sharp.
If you follow the application procedure online, you will automatically come across that option/question after uploading the vaccination certificate. So have to take a close-up photo of the QR code. As long as it is not sharp enough, you cannot upload it.
Made an application last week for my wife and myself. We received the registration with the registration number after 10 seconds. My Thailandpass was there after 20 minutes. My wife's took a little longer. But no hours either.

    • Eric says up

With me, the Thailand Pass was indeed there within 10 seconds, but the QR codes were also scanned. Make sure you enter the QR codes exactly, otherwise it won't work. So only scan and upload the QR codes!!!

    • Dennis says up

Today 2 applications submitted within 1 minute 2 approved QR codes in the mailbox.
So it can go very quickly if you upload and fill in everything properly

  2. Jordy says up

Open the vaccination certificate file. Enlarge the QR code of the vaccination certificate slightly by zooming in. Then with program: open “snipping tool” (accessories folder; under settings (home button) windows). Then click the “new” button and use the mouse to drag a square around the QR code and then save it as a jpg. You can then upload this. If 1x does not work, try enlarging or reducing the QR code slightly. Good luck

I applied for the pass last Friday evening and was approved within 10 seconds. I have a Jansen vaccination, you can indicate that and only have to send 1 vaccination certificate. I took a photo of my A5 piece of paper of my international vaccination certificate where the QR code is on the left and all the data is on the right. I then generated an international (new) code on my phone and took a photo of it with a second phone. That is added as an attachment. And approval within 2 seconds

  4. Tom says up

    Hi Harry,

I have added 2 x the European vaccination certificate + date of these vaccinations.
Then you can simply take a photo of the QR code and add it (even as a photo). I had opened the QR codes of my covid safe app, taken a photo and added it.

I recognize the problems. Sat 4/12 uploaded everything with gmail and QR codes as extra but when I did submit I got the message: API SERVER ERROR . After 3 new attempts, an email was sent to the indicated site, but no acknowledgment of receipt yet a response.
Are others now also receiving such a message?

    Hello Harry,

Read the comments in this link:
    https://www.thailandblog.nl/lezers-inzending/mijn-thailand-pass-aanvraag-lezersinzending/
One of the comments describes exactly how to do this.

  7. Robbert says up

Requested twice already. No automatic approval for me. The 2st application was made on December 1st and the 1nd on December 2rd. I know less than 3 days have passed, but reading the posts here gives me very little hope that will happen. Fly the 7th Dec. So you have 20 weeks left. Hope it works.

How far in advance did you apply. Would there be a priority list of when people should arrive in Thailand and would they be treated sooner.

  8. On says up

A tip for everyone. Have noticed that the edited QR code does not always work. Sometimes he has an anomaly in the code. This can be checked by downloading the QR scanner from the government with which you can scan the QR code yourself. After processing, the scanner showed nothing. If the edited QR is correct, the scanner will give a green check mark at the top left and your data will be shown at the bottom. So think that some QR codes have an error after processing and that is why they cannot be processed automatically and manually. Hope this helps. Regards Pada

    • Robbert says up

Cannot scan international codes with it. Asks for the Dutch QR code.

      • On says up

Then you're doing something wrong. He does with me. You don't have to enter any countries either. Just open and scan. You have to use the international scanner. It has a green logo. Gr. Pada

    • On says up

UPDATE: The government has made several Coronacheck scanners. (see Google Play). And there are two different QR codes after you've had a vaccination. 1 for Dutch use. The so-called access scan app for the hospitality industry (dark blue app logo). 1 for business use (light blue app) and 1 for international travel. (Green app.) With the name DCC cross border scanner app NL can be downloaded from Google play. With the latter you can check the QR code you need to use for the Thailand pass by scanning it. After opening this app you only have to scan and then it shows a small green check mark at the top left and at the bottom you will find your data. Regards Pada

      • Robbert says up

Thnx. This one does work. He simply approves the QR code. So for which I am not automatically approved, Joost knows.

  9. Jos says up

    Just to be sure.
First go to the website of the corona check and first create a paper QR code there.
Print the full vaccination certificate and make a picture of the QR code (picture jpg)
    From both vaccinations heh.
I returned to the Netherlands this morning after a 6-day business trip. All worked perfectly. Thai pass QR code and PCR test I had of course printed out (just like the other documents), get out, walk a bit and sit on a plastic stool, contour for 30 seconds, walk to the station for another check, 2 minutes, walk through to customs, 1 min…an so…the suitcases were not there yet.
It all goes so quickly and efficiently.
Back with KLM, only have to show my QR code of my vaccination certificate and go back.
Many shops at the airport are closed / under construction

I made the first application for my Thailand pass on November 23, 2021, and I had already been waiting for 12 days. I still had some time because I'm flying at the end of December. I regularly logged in to the website and I kept getting the same message “reviewing”. Now, on the first attempt to apply for my Thailand pass, my hotel was not in the list, which did not give me a reassuring feeling because if you have to choose “others” you can already predict that it will have to be viewed manually. It's not my style to overload that system with 2 or 3 requests, but I have called those 4 phone numbers and either it is busy or you hear a general message in Thai that I don't understand, or you hear in English that it number is not in use. And once I heard a waiting carousel “the line is very busy for the moment, there are no operators free, please wait”, I hung up the phone after 1 to 6 minutes because calling a Thai number from Belgium is expensive. . There is also an e-mail address listed, but I received no response to my e-mail. Today I made a second attempt and this time my hotel was on the list. I have also forwarded the QR code in better quality. After 7 minutes I had my Thailand Pass, and I'm happy 🙂

    • Luka says up

Meanwhile, I got my Thailand Pass from my first application, after 13 days.

  11. Menno says up

I applied for my pass on November 24 and it is indeed still on reviewing (after the 7 days). I have sent an email asking them to look into it.

Since I will not be leaving until February, I suspect that my application is not a priority.

    • bart says up

      I did it, cheers
first everything was put in order in terms of printing photos, first checked whether the qr code was clear, but indeed international Dutch was not approved with corona scanner, so on hope of blessing, continued.
      finally submit and go
code got. but in the meantime I thought, damn they didn't want to know anything about visa. so filled in again and visa entered and submit., gone.
when I looked at my gmal address, the first one was already approved after 15 min.
and a little later the second too
now have 2 with 2 different Thailand pass ID
which uses I don't know, last one I think, but keep them both
      print is very large
      the others success

  12. janbeute says up

Why have they still not called cheese at that Thailand pass and also at the IMMI, etc.
You always read on this blog use another browser or JPEG or PDF, Google etc etc.
You almost have to be an IT person to be able to understand this.
Transferred money for the first time via Wise previously transferwise last month, and if you see how their website and instructional videos on Youtube are perfectly organized.
People who understand computer systems work there and make their company easily accessible, even for simple people like me.
Even for a digital person like me, it is still simple to understand. My Thai stepson, also an IT citizen, thinks it's a total mess here in Thailand.
But it must have been made by acquaintances and relatives of Thai officials, the well-known friend politics where you never get the good people with knowledge in the places where they need to be.
I recently had a practical case at what used to be the TMB bank, he asked for my passport, but didn't even know how a passport works.
My first name was correct but my last name family name had become my place of birth.
Didn't say anything, again they make me.

    Jan Beute.

  13. Robbert says up

Wanted to make a 3rd attempt just to be sure. However, I got the message that I already have 2 applications pending. So you can't keep spamming the system. So just wait and see.

  14. Martin Young says up

Everyone is talking about 2 QR codes. But I have a vaccination certificate, and only 1 QR code on it. What's up with that?

  15. Toine says up

In the CoronaCheck app you have under International
there are 2 QR codes. 1 of the 1st and 1 of the 2nd vaccination.
    Are they meant?
Under the heading Netherlands you only have 1 QR code indeed
    How does this work?

  16. kop says up

Yes, you need the International Vaccination Certificates for the First and Second vaccinations
    upload one by one.
You then add the separate QR codes to each Certificate.
So you upload a total of 4 times.

  17. Hugo says up

If I understand correctly, it only asks for the
Download QR codes of both vaccinaities.
I scanned it in and then tried to download it but that didn't work, I keep getting the message that this is not correct. QR code or file? I have forwarded everything in JPEG.
I was able to download my 2 vaccination certificates with QR.
So I will have to be patient for a few days?

    • Robbert says up

You have to cut out the QR codes and leave a white border around them. You can do this by pressing Shift+S+Windows key.

Good thing I did and I don't have automatic approval. Been waiting almost a week now. So fingers crossed.

  18. Cornelis says up

Can you imagine the frustrations. You already record a number of things – travel, hotel, etc. – before you submit the application and then you just have to wait and see. It's that I have a partner in Thailand, otherwise I would look for another destination.

  19. Toine says up

But where do you download those QR codes?
This is not possible from the CoronaCheck app, is it?
I really don't understand it anymore. I am asking this for a Thai friend (Thai nationality and Thai passport) who is fully vaccinated and has his QR codes in the CoronaCheck app and one international and one NL certificate on paper.

Or can you demonstrate your complete vaccination in another way for a Thai?
    .

    • TheoB says up

      Hi Tony,

I assume that your friend still does not have a DigiD and so on https://coronacheck.nl/nl/print/ cannot log in to download the single Dutch and/or the 2 international QR codes nowadays.
So you will have to call the Customer Contact Center of the GGD region of Utrecht again tel: 030-8002899 to receive another email from them, this time with the 2 international QR codes. It seems that nowadays you can also be helped by the GGD Rotterdam and Groningen, but I don't have any telephone numbers for them.

At the time (early September) I also sent a question/comment from the GGD Haaglanden website (www.ggdhaaglanden.nl) about this problem. After 3 working days I received from them ([email protected]) the following answer:
      “Dear TheoB,

Thanks for your message. We can manually create a QR code for the lady, which she can then add to the CoronaCheck app or print and use as paper evidence.
Please note: a paper certificate is only valid for one year.

We then need the following information from her:
      – Copy of your proof of identity
      – Your vaccination registration card
      – Social Security Number
      - Telephone number
      – Email address where we can send the code.

You will then receive the QR code by secure email. The document contains instructions on how to add the QR code to your CoronaCheck App.
We hope to have informed you sufficiently.

      Yours faithfully,
      Floortje
      Vaccination Program GGD Haaglanden”
You could also write to [email protected]

To load that .pdf with the 2 vaccination certificates into Thailand Pass, you can do what I did. See https://www.thailandblog.nl/lezers-inzending/ervaring-met-online-aanvragen-van-thailand-pass-lezersinzending/#comment-648614

Request made through normal procedure. Was told this would take between 3 and 7 days. On day 8 still nothing. Request remains on review. Emails sent to all possible addresses that I found on the website of the embassy and the consulate: no responses at all. Called all possible telephone numbers and after each very long wait: either the message that I should send an email or that they simply disconnected the connection. 2nd request made on the 10th day : no reply that it was in review. On day 14 : received the QR code from 1st request. On day 15 I was notified that there were problems with this request (1st) and that I had to make a new request. On my departure on day 17, still not received anything about the 2nd or 3rd request I made. I took the code I did receive with me and luckily it turned out to be okay. NOTE : you cannot enter Thailand without all the requested documents.

  22. piet says up

I am pleased to report that after submitting my response here on Dec 6, 13.46:16.30 PM that same afternoon at 3:XNUMX PM, I received both a proper response from the support team and my QR code. Total XNUMX working days after submission. A correct handling that can certainly be called.
