Lumpini park

An evening was of course fooling yourself, Piet soon found out. Booked a cheap hostel where the question of how many nights remained unanswered by Piet. Piet had been here in the past, a ball pit for big boys. His first evening was one of sitting quietly at the bar and watching more of the level while sipping beer.

A walk around and let the happy notes of the event work on you here and there and of course pay attention to whether there were no nicer locations to take a break. Whether the ladies were the ladies was a matter for a trained eye and even that was often not enough. Many tourists regularly found out that there are many things in life that are not what they seem, especially in nightlife Bangkok.

As long as you came for the entertainment part, it didn't matter if she had a hand pee or a sitting pee. With more attention to the person in question, a small check was not superfluous, thin ice of course, but Piet considered himself competent in this in a neat manner, there were more options such as, 'Are you real, beauty'. But yes, the whole complex is dripping with the 'We want more' something that Piet knew but which he called nonsense to that little guy on his shoulder.

After he thought about what to do the next day in his two-star hostel, he came to the conclusion that an extra day couldn't hurt either. In the end it all went well so far, he could still look in the mirror without shame. Piet had decided to ignore the big 'we want more' sign, even though he gritted his teeth.

After a day of getting a breath of fresh air, eating European food, he would rethink the past few weeks and spend another night here after ringing the bell 'All is well here [o]pa', which had apparently already been made at Schiphol. The next day it was nice to relax in the area, the Lumphini park was a nice walk and a nice resting point.

The monitor lizards that were seen was something that was a bit strange, also for Thais, it was not feeding ducks from poele poele poele. This is what the grafts eat with a slice of white bread. And a slice of white bread wasn't really their favorite snack either, although Piet had heard that they weren't really ignorant of their consumptive behaviour. Although on the way there also a quarter of an hour would be desirable to take a moped taxi on the way back, Piet thought.

The entertainment of the ladies had to be enough, although it was a pain in the heart. Piet was not there yet but had 'sincere' intentions for the evening. The next day in the bus, Piet was a bit ashamed that it hadn't quite worked out. She was a little too much like Piet's 'expectations' of a happy ending after a nice evening out.

You should not tie the bacon on the mouth and Piet would have done that against better judgment. The ladies are not sitting there with a cup of cold tea promoting sales. He had also had no contact with Noy at all, over the phone for the past two weeks, which in his mind was a response from Noy's travel ban. Putting in some time off seemed like a good plan and calling from Bangkok was a bad plan, Piet thought.

Coming home after a day of rest, Piet went to take a look at the financial situation. Not that he didn't already have the impression that a big hole had been made in the budget, after all, he had often fallen into the trap of daughter and granddaughter sweet to be a supporting factor.

Something he would have enjoyed doing, not that, but which was a small disadvantage in the lifestyle afterwards. At least, until it was financially balanced again. Fasting in food and drink was the ideal solution, Piet had already learned over time. And good support in this, the 7/11 was the perfect shop for the person who did not want to be in the kitchen every day. Piet could in the past people who lived from the 7/11.

Thai prakkies in various shapes and sizes and much more like that. Of course a Dutch snack was also welcome regularly, something Piet liked to do, so it turned out fine. By the way, making soup was also a hobby of Piet per six liters at a time.

The full fridge became dateless for these less good days with the trays with stickers, in other words first eat what we have. After a short Saturday evening meeting with his old buddy where the last few weeks were mutually discussed while enjoying a few beers, the break was also set there.

After all, you don't travel to the other side of the city for an hour of conversation. He had to decide to slow down a follow-up session a little more if daughter and granddaughter had the idea to go to [grand]pa again with the two of them in the future.

But let's get some more information and explain how she sees her future, although Piet had some idea about that, should the situation in the home country remain the same. Is a careful call to Noy if she still had a night off this week was also in the agenda, oops.

To be continued.

That soup was the deciding factor, I am now 90% sure that I know Piet.

Pea soup or tomato soup, GeertP?
I once asked Piet, somewhere far in the distance the name reminds him of someone.
But the 'How what why' escapes Piet for a moment. [He is a bit older now]
Perhaps it will become clear to go to the still too limited parts in 2023.
