Dear readers,

In November we fly to our son in Pai. He and we have something to celebrate and his request is if we want to bring champagne. He has not seen it for sale in Pai or Chiang Mai.

Now we would like to bring two bottles of champagne. One for his celebration and one for us. Of course they have to be in the luggage compartment. You are not allowed to take it into the cabin.

My question is: will those bottles survive that intense cold? I don't think the cargo hold is heated? Are those bottles still intact? And will my things stay dry in the suitcase?
