Home » Reader question » Reader question: Online course for Basic Civic Integration Examination?
Dear readers,
What is the best and most reliable online course for the Basic Civic Integration Exam, at the Dutch embassy in Bangkok?
Course must be doable on a tablet and be completely online.
Regards,
Martin

hello martin
Perhaps known, but Ad Appel offers a lot of material. Last year my girlfriend also had to take this exam. I ordered Ad Appel's integration book A1 and miraculously it arrived in Thailand 3 weeks later. A great deal of material from that book was available online. In addition, his website offers many practice exercises (for free). We worked via a tablet
My girlfriend did not attend school in Bangkok (didn't go and too expensive). I practiced with her myself every evening and managed to understand quite too quickly what DUO expects from A 1 candidates. Especially the talking part is a stumbling block for many. A tip : to a question do you like to cook ? don't just answer yes or no but clearly say yes I love to cook.
Knowledge of Dutch society can be fully learned by your girlfriend on the basis of the free practice material. 90% of the slides/questions are also asked on the exam. The simplest part of A1
Honesty compels me to say that from 2018 we only talk to each other in simple Dutch. Difficult at first but not anymore. Once in the Netherlands, my advice remains send her to an integration course because I now notice that I lack the time to teach her exactly this.
I can also highly recommend Ad Appel's material. See his site with a lot of material and various other materials. And while I'm here, I can also recommend reading the "Immigration Thai Partner" file here on Thailand Blog.
For Ad's website, go to: https://adappel.nl/lesmateriaal
Hallo,
I'm Gerard.
I give
Dutch in Thailand for 10+ years. I teach online Dutch lessons for Imburgering A1. A2, B1 and B2 are also possible. High success rate. See also my fb page Teacher Dutch Bangkok. You can also send an email to [email protected] or WhatsApp number +66814280416
Yesterday someone also posted a question about online studying, take a look. This was my answer yesterday.
I think Richard van der Kieft has been teaching in Thailand for over 15 years. My wife took a course with him a long time ago. We were very satisfied with his teaching style. I was kept well informed of her progress.
You will find more information at http://www.nederlandslerenbangkok.nl
Dear Martin,
My girlfriend studied with Richard van der Kieft in Bangkok and passed on the first attempt, highly recommended. You will find more information at http://www.nederlandslerenbangkok.com
I do think he is teaching online now, just ask.
Good luck.
You only have to deal with it once. Our eight weeks in Bangkok are unforgettable. Even after eight years we are still happy that we chose Richard.
