Dear readers,

I regularly see news about the vaccination app in Thailand (Mor Prom). Also today that several expats have already registered via this app on Line. I've done a lot of searching but I can't find anything about this.

Are there readers who can give the correct answer?

Kind thanks.

Regards,

Gino

This Line App หมอพร้อม can be found under the “official account” in your Line App.

Thanks for the tip. I searched in English
It is difficult that the language is Thai, logical of course in Thailand, but then you have to be able to speak the language.
Fortunately, you can also register at your hospital.

Registering at the Government Hospital in Chiang Rai for Covid vaccination is not yet possible.
Tried to register for vaccination today, but no: Falang cannot, come back July.

Probably not for a foreigner as my wife told me

PeterVZ wrote yesterday that the app works fine (with the pink ID card, for which you need both your personal ID number and a number on the back of the card):

Quote: “Petervz says on May 2, 2021 at 13:40 PM

The line App MorProm where you can make an appointment works fine. Yesterday morning it initially crashed because too many were logging in at the same time. In the afternoon that was no longer a problem.

You can choose where you want to be vaccinated, with a very large choice from all hospitals and local clinics at tambon / amphur level. The vaccine therefore certainly comes close to the patient, because there is such a clinic in every (sub) district.
And people without a smartphone can register via their hospital, clinic or first aid volunteer in the village. ”

It's not working fine. Just look at social media.
A number of hospitals have not opened the slots for appointments and many Thai people are not in the system. Not surprising in a country where many poor elderly people do not have an ID or passport, let alone a smartphone.

How can I get a rose ID card? Which documents must be submitted?
Thanks in advance for tips and advice.

Thai don't have Pink ID Card…I am Belgian and my registration was successful and accepted.

Have the same experience, only 2 hours instead of 2 days. First my VPN got in my way, then LINE opened the MOR PROM application. Everything entered and denied; no reason was given here as to what exactly went wrong.

    • Van Hauwaert says up

Try the first question for a number, the number at the top of the card, the 2nd question for a number…the number at the back of the card

Dear Jan. You are not alone. I have also been trying to log in with my pink ID card for 2 days now and it is always said in Thai that data has not been entered correctly
I enter exactly the details of the pink card and whatever I try it is not accepted.
So we must be doing something wrong and have to wait until further notice. I had everything checked through a Thai teacher so I'm sure no mistakes were made. Wait and see.

Perhaps the fact that you are not listed as a Thai or as a foreigner is an added bonus. It seems to be a common thing with my friends they can't do it. The majority have no ticket at all because of unknown never asked for it never needed it.

Why making a vaccination appointment via the Mor Prom line App does not work for every “pink ID” cardholder is not clear to me. It is possible that the foreign holder of the card is not actually included in the population register in certain districts.

Why is the Thai government not to throw the app in the trash and do it completely differently and again, with Indonesia as a source of inspiration. There, in a free (well, good PR) collaboration with Traveloka (yes, the website where you can book airline tickets and hotels, but which now have virtually nothing to do), a system has been set up fairly simply, the characteristics of which are:
    – each vaccination location is presented on the website as a hotel
    – it is indicated which days will be vaccinated there by a team
    – the day (or days) is divided into units of time needed for the vaccination (say 3 minutes)
    – the number of spikes corresponds to the number of 'rooms' (say 20 doctors/nurses)
    – you therefore have 60/3 * 20 = 400 options/slots/appointment options per hour; 10 hours of testing means 4000 appointment options per day. (In Israel, people sting continuously 24 hours a day)
    – you fill in your details as you do when booking a hotel room with some extras about your health situation
    – you choose your appointment time, confirm online and then receive a voucher (with time and place).

The Indonesian government has understood that if you want something as a government, you have to incur most costs and use energy yourself and keep it as simple and cheap as possible for the population. Then you can count on cooperation.

Oh yeah. In the case of Thailand, I would choose the temple as the vaccination location: always close by, known location, open spaces (sufficient ventilation), no fear of Covid patients as in a hospital or clinic, low costs for the population (no travel costs) , greater willingness to vaccinate, high density.
    And yes, then enough vaccines…………………………………..

Via the Mor Prom App on LINE, it only works if you use your “Thai Pink ID Card”. Was a little complicated there only in Thai, but it was done fairly quickly and very quickly received confirmation that my registration was accepted.

It went smoothly for me too. I would ? be notified mid-June, they start on June 7 in Bang Saray or Sattahip, must have a pink ID card!
