Reader question: From Bangkok to Chiang Rai, do I have to quarantine for another 2 weeks?
Dear readers,
I assume everyone arrives in Bangkok and goes into quarantine there for 2 weeks. Many will also travel outside of Bangkok, but since Bangkok is a red province, this can cause problems.
Who has traveled on/will travel on (for example to Chiang Rai) and has experience with this? Is 2 weeks of quarantine in Bangkok and a vaccination certificate enough not to have to go into quarantine again?
If so, is a Dutch vaccination certificate accepted, or perhaps the yellow vaccination booklet?
Who has tips? How did you solve that?
Thanks in advance.
Regards,
Rob

If you are allowed to leave the quarantine, you will receive papers. You do not have to quarantine again in another province. Sometimes you have to report to the local doctor. It is of course different if you first stay in Bangkok and then travel further.

I hope they don't give their own explanation per province. It is of course not the same if you have been quarantined in Bangkok and then go straight to Chiang Mai or first visit Bangkok for a few days. The self-check is of course no problem, but it would be crazy if you had to go back into quarantine from quarantine. In any case, I have been assured that I must report alone, but my wife must be quarantined at home. But yes, in Thailand, every village makes its own rules on top of those of the government.
No problem.
Directly from the ASQ to the airport and directly to Chiang Rai. You have been vaccinated and you also have the result of your last PCR test. But go right.
