Dear readers,

I entered Thailand with a Visa Exemption. This time I adhered to the allowed amount of medication. I can pick up my applied for Non immigrant-O at the Immigration of Korat in two weeks. Where I live there are 3 medicines not available.

Can anyone recommend me a Pharmacy in Korat?

Regards,

Chris

Know several pharmacy shops, people are nice and helpful everywhere and if you need something that is not in stock, check with the suppliers in Bangkok whether it is available, but then you have to ask if they can order it. I'd say give the nearest one a try. In a radius of 5 km I already have 10 pharmacy shops, well there will always be a few that can help you, just like elsewhere in Korat. Or try the largest hospital in Korat town which has a large pharmacy department or can advise you for an alternative.
    Or take the following: Siam Pharmacy Korat (search in Google);
there are about 20 employees behind the counter, to give you an impression of the size and popularity of this business. Within walking distance of Suranaree monument, you can combine it right away.

By the way, if the medication is for something prescribed through a hospital, then I would go to the hospital in Thailand too. The Pharmacy shops are often limited in their range and for 'simple' and frequently purchased medicines. Maharat is the largest government hospital in the province, if you want to be helped quickly, I would recommend St. Mary hospital, privately owned. But yes, privately more expensive than through the government, if you have to pay for it yourself I would recommend Maharat.

Siam Pharmacy by far the best in Korst, Ger also writes about that!
Super service and even delivered by mail or Line and at home. "My" pharmacy for 10 years.

    M curious…
You write… “I have kept to the allowed amount of medication this time.”
    Never heard of allowed amount.
What are you basing yourself on? Please explain?

In principle, you can take it with you for 30 days. You are not allowed to bring some medicines into Thailand at all. See ao:

Here is a link with address list and map where you can find many pharmacy close to home if necessary.
There are even several NOT on it that I do know of.
Which is better or worse is looking like coffee grounds to me.
A Pharmacy is also not allowed to sell everything in the field of medicines or not have that basic in-house.
    Could also be a reason.
Of course, every hospital also has a pharmacy where you have to get a written prescription from a doctor the first time.
    Usually the most expensive option.

    success

I just have experience with heart medicines that I bought in a hospital pharmacy in Khon Kaen Ramen, imported from Europe at a very expensive price per 30 €60. Substitute made at a local doctor in Thailand 6 times cheaper with the same effect … .. So my advice is to visit a doctor first.

Go to the heart hospital in Khon Kaen for your heart medicines.
I have doubts about the knowledge of a number of doctors, but writing a prescription will still work.
The pharmacy in the hospital is in any case advantageous, also for other medicines.
