I'm going back to Thailand in the fall. I will land in Bangkok by plane and from there I want to go to Kaset Wisai (Roi Et) by bus. Which bus should I take and what is the price? And how long is this bus on the road? I would like the full explanation and who has experience with it?

Thanks to our fishmonger Pim from Hua Hin, the Dutch have been able to enjoy first-class herring in Thailand for quite some time now. For many an unprecedented delicacy. In addition, herring is also very healthy and for that reason alone you should eat herring regularly!

On Koh Samui we have encountered an animal on the beach during low tide several times that we cannot place. Thailand and especially the capital Bangkok is a fantastic 'hub' to look across the border and broaden your horizon. From the metropolis of Bangkok you can use a number of low budget airlines to visit a number of neighboring countries. Laos, Cambodia, Vietnam and Malaysia are what you call next door.
It seems that the police are making little progress in the investigation into the perpetrators of Monday night's bomb attack. So far we haven't gotten much further than a few theories.

Proposal A: A multiple-entry visa, valid for 6 months (cost 5000 Baht).
Proposal B: A tourist visa with a single entry, which is also valid for 6 months. (cost 1000 Bath).

We are going to Thailand in January, including Koh Lipe. Now we would rather not do the transport from Pakbara to Koh Lipe by speedboat as our experience from last time was not too good. Way too full boats.
