What if it snowed in Bangkok

It takes a lot of imagination to think of a snowed-in Bangkok. Still, that thought gnawed at Tim, a Canadian expat who has lived in Bangkok for more than a decade.

He sees numerous activities on a daily basis, but with everything he sees, it keeps coming to his mind that even the dullest urban landscape can turn into a wonderland of bright, clean, bright colors set off by virgin white snow.

He comes from a Canadian town, where up to 5 meters of snow can fall annually during certain periods, so that clearing snow is a daily activity. A good market for all kinds of snow removal equipment, but Tim realizes that the demand for these products can never be expected in Bangkok.

He looked in a different direction and commissioned young Thai and non-Thai artists to paint typical scenes in Bangkok, with and without snow. The result is a collection of 18 beautiful paintings that express the potential beauty of Bangkok should it ever snow.

The images of the paintings are for sale as a calendar (of 18 months), but also as postcards. See all images and details on how to obtain this unique series of prints on the website: bangkoksnowremoval.com

Snow in Bangkok, yes, I myself have years ago when Sadam Hoesijn set the oil wells on fire and the temperature dropped as a result and there was frost in northern Thailand at night and people did not understand it and there was frost on the trees and a new word had to be invented for that.Very bizarre.greetings Jan

    Fun.
I also made a series of drawings about Thailand with snow in the 90s. Got paid, but in the end they were never printed…
The series before that with Santa on elephants, etc., but I found the snow theme more interesting.
