Underboob selfie: Thai ladies risk jail
Among Thai ladies and probably especially ladyboys, a new craze has emerged that has blown over from the west: making a so-called underboob selfie and then spreading it on social media. The junta is not happy about it and has already announced that they are banning it. Violators face a five-year prison sentence.
Photographing the underside of your breasts is immoral, according to the Thai government, which revoked and enacted a 2007 computer crime law. This law explicitly states that it is prohibited to digitally distribute material that is immoral or causes social unrest. Also, photos must not cause damage to the security of the country.
"When people take these underboob selfies, no one can see their face," said a spokesperson for the Ministry of Culture. It is therefore unclear how the government intends to find out the identity of the underboob photographers. “We can only warn people not to do it. It's inappropriate.”

And to think that the transvestites who have to report for the examination for conscription also have to walk around with a bare upper body.
But maybe that has also been abolished with this one.
Hello Ruud,
Every country or society has its “double standards.” Don't forget the Netherlands either.
I'm sure it's a pity that you ignore it (and the thumb-ups) that there can be a prison sentence of up to 5 years(!) for such a 'crime'. Sorry, but that's actually a form of double standards.
I didn't know this was all the rage in the west. But if we call this art then the problem is solved, right?
what hypocrisy
a breast may be seen, or not
there are plenty of pages on FB where you can see more
of Thai women
man, man man, what is that guy doing
soon you will no longer be allowed to look at a lady or you will be arrested
in paradise (pattaya) the ladyboys flaunt their shop
so what
this head of government (I dare not say the other wording) is making a mess of it
does he want to throw all the tourists out?
Doing well
everyone had high hopes
but that hope is long gone
the Russians stay away
the chinese are not welcome anymore
neither do the farangs anymore
what do they actually want?
a bare tit? what's wrong with that
ok i understand in our countries we have nudist beaches
not here
but verbalize or imprisonment
come far
If all this statement is true, then yes, you can say that it is thick.
Prison sentences of up to 5 years are taken here. for such a silliness as voluntarily taking a snapshot of a particle of one's own female breasts. That is therefore equated with a criminal act…
It indeed smells of hypocrisy, provided that people are consistent (by which I do not mean that I support it) and ban all forms of open nakedness such as the famous pole dancing, etc.. etc. Yes, then these moral knights are no longer far from a total ban on any form of prostitution. Because they are all rather closely linked.
There are perhaps other matters that should be addressed more urgently, don't start giving a list here, otherwise I'll be busy tomorrow.
Hello… 5 years in prison…..
In the past, women in Thailand walked bare-chested.
That has been abolished because it was not appropriate in the west.
So basically it's just back to the good old traditions.
In the temples there are also paintings of women with bare breasts.
Should they also be painted over?
Perhaps it is – again – about preserving or preserving good morals.
What the country has failed at for decades; because it is not negotiable.
Looking into your own bosom (!) is impossible for the leaders, so why post selfies of them.
Hypocrisy at its peak; high-grade HIV infections and venereal disease.
Drug use and abuse: related crime.
Bribery, fraud, … and so on.
Thailand is still a third world country.
It's not all roses and moonshine.
Lots of work to do!
Well double, and what a hypocrisy of the Thai government, Pattaya with all its prostitution, Phuket, Bangkok with its red light zones the bars are overflowing with bare tits bare buttocks, what does the government actually want, let the government be more concerned with the economy of the country, than a single tiny tip of a bare chest.
Stop closing all bars no more prostitution and vulgar behavior in the relief in red light districts in Thailand, MY GOD.
Come on, I thought it was Buddhists in Thailand, but I think that junta wants to declare Sharia soon. It's getting worse and worse in all areas in Thailand I think it's time for elections again.
What comedians, especially those army officers, every senior officer has at least 1 mia noi and sometimes even more. My neighbor, a senior at the Thai post, has 3, and those guys are going to set the moral, are we living in a crazy country or what?
